In today’s Tech Tip, we’re going over the key differences between two file management platforms, OneDrive and SharePoint.
It’s not as complicated as it may seem, and we’re going to help you learn the essentials.
We’ll start with OneDrive. OneDrive is a program that stores, installs, and shares information with its users.
It’s designed for your personal storage and work needs. You can think of it as the cloud equivalent of your computer’s My Documents folder.
One thing to note is that OneDrive cannot publish to a website. Documents can have email links, but the documents cannot be published straight from OneDrive.
SharePoint is different in that it is best used for collaborative work and publishing files for others to view. It is an on-site cloud-based program that stores and shares information with multiple users.
SharePoint’s content management system lets users publish documents straight to a website as well as make them available for others to download. SharePoint can be viewed as an alternative internet site/file server.
The key things to note here are that OneDrive is great for those small-scale personal projects, while SharePoint works great for larger collaborative projects with multiple people being able to access the same documents.

Today we're going to be going over four services that are included in many Microsoft 365 licenses that could save you money today.

Let's get started.

Number one, using bookings instead of Calendly.

Calendly is a great tool that allows people to schedule an appointment on your calendar.

If you're currently paying for Calendly, You can use Microsoft Bookings instead.

Number two, there are many cloud storage options, but your Microsoft license likely already comes with SharePoint.

And OneDrive, if you're currently paying for Dropbox or other services, you can use these services instead.

Number three, if you're paying for a Webinar tool, you can cancel and use Teams webinar.

This is a very easy to use webinar platform that has most of the bells and whistles of the dedicated Webinar platforms.

If you're already familiar with Microsoft Teams, this is a no brainer.

Number four are you using a paid tool to backup or sync your desktop to the cloud?

This protects your files and allows you to access them from anywhere.

With OneDrive sync, you can eliminate another bill and standardize on the Microsoft 365 benefits that are available to you.

Hello everyone, and welcome to another Tech Tip.

Today, I'll be showing you exactly how to save an email as a template.

Let's get started.

This Tech Tip is quick and easy, but I promise you it will come in handy all the time.

Okay, so I just finished crafting this informative email I send to all new clients.

I don't want to have to go into my sent folder every time I have to send it out, so I'm going to save it.

All I have to do is go up to file Save as Outlook message format.

Now it's saved.

All I have to do is open it up.

Next time I need to send the email, add the recipient, and send it out.

This has come in handy in so many internal processes.
